Flickr limitations hurt
Flickr is great, and up until now I thought that the only limitation on free Flickr accounts was the 100MB upload limit per month and three-limit sets, but apparently you are also limited to 200 photos an account. I wish all I had were 200 photos, but I’ve got more than that ready to be interneted. Sure, it’s only $25 a year for a pro account, but I barely have enough money to pay for...

Question #2 on morality:
“How would you feel about the fact that you’re fighting a bunch of kids?”
I answered with C:
“To hell with morality, I’d be too busy pile-driving, crane-kicking, and bare-knuckle bashing them all the way back to kintergarten”

Warcraft III fixes
i’ve recently been without a decent computer game, so i reinstalled my copy of “WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne.” (i’d like to state for the record that doing so would have been impossible had Blizzard enforced an utterly useless DRM like EA has.)
unfortunately, my HP Pavilion dv2000 series utilizes an NVIDIA GeForce 7150M / nForce 630M card, which, i think, gives the...

religion = fail
I can’t find a site that has Christian skins since apparently they all think gamers are in to the blue flames, skulls and Pokemon/Naruto. -stunningfail
for some reason i found it ironic that a guy looking for Christian skins was using the name stunningfail.

xkcd still disturbingly popular.
OMG. XKCD IS SO FUNNY THAT I FORGOT TO LAUGH.
seriously guys, what the fuck is this drag? i hate to use Digg as the basis of my observations, but it seems that people actually like that crap. really, it’s crap. crap wrapped in a blanket of sweaty Digg bitches in their “i love dane cook” t-shirts.
i’m sorry though. i don’t know why it bothers me so much.

firefox 3.1beta is friggin fast. →
seriously, why use anything else?
after testing out the new beta, the first thing that hits you is the noticeable speed difference. it’s really fast. and because i don’t feel like summing up what the other sites are saying, i’ll just quote this tidbit from TGDaily.
The first public beta of Firefox 3.1 offers a handful of new features such as a 3D preview during tab switching,...

Real Player blows
i’m making this post for everyone who hates Real Player.
for years i’ve been going on without needing to install Real Player, but for some unknown reason, someone decided to upload .rmvb content on mininova.org
without much choice, i unwillingly downloaded and installed Real Player to see some pretty horrifying changes; it’s bloat city comparable to Vuze and Vista. i soon...

StarCraft II update on the split
***update***
Blizzard has announced that whether each game will be full-priced products has yet to even be discussed, and from what i just found out, and am most unhappy about, is that you’ll need to purchase and install the the other campaigns in order to unlock newer units—even in multiplayer. so i guess it IS going to be a gun to the head saying you’ll need to buy all three.

StarCraft II split into three games! →
Blizzard developers have announced that the SC-II project is so massive that they’ve decided to split the single-player campaign into three different games—one for Protoss, one for Zerg, and one for Terran. in the original Starcraft, as i’m sure you all remember, you had 30 missions that would take you through all three races, but with StarCraft II developers realized that there...

Fox News Panics →
a teacher once said to me that the only way to bring about change is to create anarchy and chaos through violence. not that he was inciting violence, or so he says… but it’s food for thought, no?
anyways, here’s some video for thought:
how is it that Fox News is allowed to broadcast what they call “news”? more like entertainment media for the far gone right says...

A Beautiful Mind
i think most people have seen the award winning movie starring Russell Crowe, but i’m not sure how many people know that the guy portrayed is a real person.
here’s the PBS documentary that recounts the life of John Forbes Nash, the mathematical genius who dealt with schizophrenia.

i found a cool page talking about how to embed an audio player into tumblr pages, and decided to try making one. an hour later i found out that it wasn’t as cool an idea as the page made it seem, so i went in a completely different direction and ended up building good night, outer space instead.

the page is powered by tumblr, and the player is a product of...

the canon mp600 printer
almost a year ago my girlfriend started nagging me—i say that lovingly—about how she needed a printer for school. i said no, and she said yes, so i ended up scouring nearby electronics stores and internet shops for a cheap printer/scanner with good reviews. i found a decent deal on Amazon Japan that bundled the MP600 w/two ink sets for a reasonable price, and now, almost a year later,...

(somewhat inspired by deejank) when i first left the states to come to japan, my friends got me a sketchbook with some drawings and writings as a good-bye gift. i still have it with me, but use it as somewhat of a yearbook that i have my closest friends sign or draw in.

DOTA misinformation and Wikipedia
i was reading the DOTA article over at wiki, and it’s further proof that wiki should never be referenced.
Defense of the Ancients (often referred to as DotA) is a custom scenario for Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne…
the original DOTA was created for Reign of Chaos. the only popularly played version on Frozen Throne is DOTA Allstars, which is not the original, and should not be mistaken...

"tainted" synonymous with CHINA
i know it’s impossible to completely avoid purchasing all chinese products, but i honestly do what i can. whenever i go shopping i always make sure that whatever i’m buying is made anywhere but the tainted “middle kingdom”—even at cheap dollar-store-like outlets. stargate
i recently started watching stargate atlantis, seasons one through four… again.
yeah i know, that amounts to 80 or so hour-long episodes doesn’t it? well, it does, but it’s so good that it seems like only a minute passes by and you’re already at the next episode where the SGA team have to confront another crisis.
god this is good television.

Senate package would bail out major foreign... →
concerning the bailout
It is Rep. Brad Sherman of California who is working hard to get other Democratic votes against the bill. Sherman’s number one concern, reported USA Today, “is that the bill would allow foreign banks to transfer toxic assets to their U.S. subsidiaries and unload them on American taxpayers. The bailout at first only applied to U.S. banks but was expanded to include foreign...

the new Nintendo DSi →
hilarity ensues as avid gamers bash the new Nintendo DSi!
announced yesterday, the new DSi is to be a “third platform” to complement the existing systems and introduce a few new features. however, a lot of people have begun bashing the system because of Nintendo’s decision to drop the GBA slot in exchange for a slimmer handheld. (but people are stupid. what do they know?) the...

a huge unfortunate and undoubted no to that. i know what you’re thinking—old news. but we don’t get a lot of movies in japan, so i’m left to find them on my own outside of the theaters, and this is one movie i wish i hadn’t.
don’t get me wrong, i loved the first one....

i hate XKCD
http://xkcd.com/
these comics are about as overrated as Dane Cook. XKCD is just not funny. sure, it has its moments every once in a while, but that’s not enough to make up for the pile of crap that’s been dished out.
that being said, i’d like to request interneters to stop digging XKCD comics. enough is enough.
