Out of boredom and insomnia, I went and created a fotologue.jp account for my blackbird, fly photos. Compared to Flickr, fotologue looks 10 times better, but a pain in the ass to navigate and edit.

I’m not scrambling to back up or export my LJ posts to another site simply because I’m mainly using my account to keep up with fandom communities. If Livejournal really is going under, I’d be most sad about losing my easiest source of Arashi-related news and clips.
Doesn’t look like the site is in any real danger, but I would hate to see LJ die. It’s been with me for over six years now, and I’ve made many life friends through the stupid site.
This has got to be one of the best commercials ever made. I don’t live in the states, so today is my first time seeing it.
Film processing is not as cheap as I remembered it! I think we charged like $3 to process a roll when I was at CVS, but the nearby shop here charges ¥650 (7USD) just for a 24 shot roll… So while my original plan was to get my film processed and printed, I opted for the poor-man’s route of just getting the negs processed, and then scanning the film myself at home.
Only problem is I don’t have a scanner that will work with film.
But Science bless us, we have tools like Google at our disposal. A quick search brought me to a few sketchy sites that talked about using a regular digital camera and Photoshop for jpegging our film. Skeptical, but desperate, I tried the method, and voila:
