I’ve recently bought two domains from Namecheap.com, which sells domains cheaper than GoDaddy, and apparently has better services. I’ve already had some problems that weren’t namecheap.com related, but the people on their live support chat were happy to help me regardless.
Anyway, if you’re a Tumblr.com user, you can easily set your tumblelog to a custom domain name with Namecheap.com.
1. Log into your account.
2. Locate your domain’s control panel.
3. Under “Host Management,” click “All Host Records.”
4. In the “@” and “www” fields, enter 72.32.231.8.
5. Set both Record Types to “A (Address)” and save the changes.
After that it’s just a matter of waiting for the adjustments to take place. For me, the changes took nearly a day, but for others it happens instantly.
