I want to go to NYC if I have to study in the US. With that in mind I looked up transfer requirements for the first school to pop into my head—NYU. Figuring the schools would be just as easy to get into as the ones in and around NoVA, I was surprised to see that I’d have to submit my high school and SAT scores from over 6 years and 46 college credits ago.
Hm. Tisch School of the Arts? No SAT subject test required?
Transfer candidates for undergraduate admission must submit the following:
* Application for Admission to Undergraduate Study and nonrefundable $65.00 application fee ($75.00 for applicants outside the U.S.)
* Official high school transcript (and Equivalency Diploma test scores if applicable)
* Official transcripts of all college work for which academic credit has been earned
* Official score reports for the SAT I from the College Entrance Examination Board or the ACT from the American College Test Assessment Program
* Teacher Recommendation Form
* Personal Statements/Essay
We encourage all transfer applicants to submit official scores from two SAT Subject Tests (unless you are applying for any program in Tisch School of the Arts or the music or art programs in the Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development).
Well, that’s better than having to take SAT subject tests.
Photography and Imaging
The artistic review includes a portfolio that must be sent directly to the department, NOT to the Undergraduate Admissions Processing Center.
The portfolio submission includes up to 20 photo-based images reflecting your strongest work as well as a Slide List and Questionnaire. You must download submission guidelines from the departmental website, which include a checklist and the mandatory information sheet; these downloadable forms ask for information and responses from you that must accompany your photo-based images.
