I finally got smart and started using Google Reader to keep up with all my friend’s blogs, and now that I’m using it, I think I must’ve been insane to have brushed it off as another stupid Google tool. Seriously, this is so easy. With everyone using different blog tools or sites, it’s difficult to keep a list and visit each site to read up on the content. Google Reader allows me to read it all on one page. Twitter, Tumblr, Blogger, WordPress or whatever—I can add each individual RSS to a gReader and spare myself the frustration of making sure I’m read on all my friend’s sites.

After reading that first paragraph to myself, I realized that this has always been possible with RSS/Atom feeds, but I never really thought to use them in this way before. It’s always taking a feed and plugging it in somewhere else for me, never taking feeds and putting it in one place to read like a newspaper.

Anyways, it’s still good to have made the discovery for myself.
