Changing my SC2 username

From me to Blizz:
I know Blizzard is aware of the firestorm brewing on all SC2 forums concerning usernames. I know that this ticket might go into the pile after you’ve read the first sentence and picked out “username,” but please allow me to change mine.

I signed up almost immediately after SC2 was released, when there was no warning that the name I entered would be permanent, and used my real name. Something I would rather not have done. I don’t mind if you have to wipe my account, and if having my username changed is not possible, then I would like to know if a refund is possible. I’d rather return and repurchase than continue on with no foreseeable remedy.

And if none of the above is possible, I would like to report my username as offensive and against Battle.net’s naming policy, and would like to receive an e-mail that “will be sent to the account’s registered E-mail address with instructions on how to change his/her temporary name to one of their choice.” -Blizzard’s Naming Policy

If you have encountered a mistake with your character’s name in StarCraft II, we may be able to assist with a change in character name. However, this investigation DOES NOT GUARANTEE that your character’s name will be changed.

Please submit the following information from the email address registered to the Battle.net account in question:

1. Battle.net Account Name.

2. First and Last Name.

3. Secret Question Answer for the Battle.net Account.

4. CURRENT StarCraft II Character Name.

5. CURRENT StarCraft II Character Code.

6. DESIRED StarCraft II Character Name.

I’ve been following the iPhone 4 news, and I don’t think a recall will ever happen because:

・It’s almost a billion dollars cheaper for Apple to send out free iPhone 4 cases, which they already manufacture. (It’s just serendipitous that everyone already buys cases anyways.)

・People who purchase the iPhone 4 are now able to return undamaged products for a full refund—no restocking fee required. So customers always have the option to just return it if they don’t like it, but no one is returning it because they’d rather sue Apple for fraud o_O? (Not going to happen.)

・The iPhone 4 is still the best selling smartphone on the market. With high demand despite the design flaw. And since consumers would rather have a bad iPhone than no iPhone, financially it doesn’t make sense for Apple. (Commenter quote: “Someone please return your iPhone 4 so I can buy it.”)

・The only thing Apple has to worry about is its customer service reputation. But if you think about it Steve Jobs is a genius for fucking up Apple’s response to this “crisis.” This means that if Apple does ANYTHING to help now, the consumers will be at least a little bit happier than they are now and Apple stocks will shoot up 3-4%.

As a side note, people saying that this debacle is akin to the Toyota recall are the stupidest people on the earth. No one’s life is in danger, and—again, I must reiterate—people have the option to GET THEIR MONEY BACK IF THEY WANT.

I miss anything here?

A corrupt municipal organization in charge traffic had been harassing locals by towing randomly and chasing residents to their homes. The town had enough when one of the government trucks caused the death a boy and his girlfriend, who were on a motorbike, by chasing and cutting out in front of them, causing the teen’s bike to hit the side of the truck, sending the two 16-year-olds flying to their deaths.

The town responded by burning down the town hall, city offices, and the home of the superintendent in charge.

First haircut in Argentina O_O...:

Although not horrible, my first haircut experience in Argentina was not a great one.

I searched online, found a hairstyle that was similar to what I had, and then asked some of the younger Japanese-Argentinian about places that could cut what I wanted. I found a stylist and showed pictures of what I wanted. Then my hair was cut.

Two weeks ago the group attended the New York Anime Festival for some Artist Alley fun. I provided the hotel which happened to be the Sheraton Towers right by Times Square and on the same block as the world’s greatest chicken & rice food cart.

Greetings from South America’s little Europe—Buenos Aires! The prices of electronics are double to triple what they are in the States, and the streets are littered with… litter… and dog poo. But at least there’s a cafe on every corner, and I can find anything from an electric transformer to a ceramic toilet seat within a block away. However, the convenience in this city is deceiving. A sushi and wine joint is a short walk away, but try to find one of those little poles that you extend between two walls to hang a curtain and you’re at a loss. I spent a good hour cutting, drilling, and installing a wooden pole into my bedroom so that we could hang a curtain. Which turned out to be great because five minutes after I was done, I pulled too hard on the rope that adjusts the wooden blinds that protect the outside of the window and broke it. Needless to say, there are small tidbits about this new country that I still have to get used to.

My first three days have been pretty busy, and they’ve mostly been spent running around looking for apartment things like cups, decorations, and US to AR transformers. Things to make my new apartment feel like home.

I’ll address things in detail later on as they come at me, but for now this little update should satisfy my urge to talk about what I’m up to.

Last note:
Some asked me why I moved. Well, I had planned to move for a while now, but not this soon. When I first got back to the States I had hoped to continue school there, but my family voted and decided that I should stay close to my fiance in Argentina. So I readied myself to leave after Thanksgiving. Then my fiance left the states, and less than a week after she got back she found out that she was pregnant. So my family voted again and told me to move as soon as possible. So here I am. The good news is that this won’t change my plans. I’ll still finish school here in Argentina, and we have her family nearby to support us when we need it.

Bring it on parenthood! I’m not scared of you!

I went to get my hair cut at Enzo’s the other day. I ended up leaving the place w/purple highlights. XD

I like ‘em. I don’t have a job and I’m still in school, so I figured a little dye wouldn’t hurt. The hair has gotten mixed reviews though. My mom and Sanae are saying that I’m too old to be dying my hair, but if I didn’t do things because I felt too old, then I probably wouldn’t be going back to school.

Anywho, I hope to blog more often from this point on. My sites are collecting way too much dust, and the money that I put in to URLs doesn’t feel very justified.
