Free users on Flickr are no longer restricted to three sets per account! You’re still limited to 200 photos, but at least now you can sort them into as many sets as you like.

I suggest making one set per photo to get the best bang for your buck.

I found this Photoshop tutorial on how to highlight eyes for dramatic effects. Easy and simple with great results.

Out of boredom and insomnia, I went and created a fotologue.jp account for my blackbird, fly photos. Compared to Flickr, fotologue looks 10 times better, but a pain in the ass to navigate and edit.

I finally caved and bought a pro Flickr account! For $2 a month, I suppose it’s worth the unlimited uploads, collections and sets. Not to mention there’s a whole photo community to explore and learn from. Guess this investment means I need to get out of the apartment and use my camera more actively.

So far most of my photos are around-the-house images taken with my DSLR, but I’ve also got 100+ camera phone pics up there with a few BBF film rolls waiting to be developed and uploaded.

Here’s some of photostream:

I’m wondering if I should just suck it up and buy a pro Flickr account. $25 for a year equates to about $2 a month, and I get unlimited uploads and sets to organize all my photos, so it’s not a bad deal. Plus the photo-community style is also nice for sharing and such.

Maybe I’ll just get it for x-mas as a present to myself.

Flickr is great, and up until now I thought that the only limitation on free Flickr accounts was the 100MB upload limit per month and three-limit sets, but apparently you are also limited to 200 photos an account. I wish all I had were 200 photos, but I’ve got more than that ready to be interneted. Sure, it’s only $25 a year for a pro account, but I barely have enough money to pay for school, rent and utilities.

Luckily my birthday is nearing! Okay, so not for another two and a half months, but you can go ahead and get me this if you’re feeling generous :P
